Big Joe Bone is the alter ego of Danny Wilson, a London-born, Mid-Wales-based musician who plays what he calls “Blues-Grass” — a raw, stomping fusion of Delta Blues, Bluegrass, Old-Time, Gospel and Hillbilly music. Armed with raspy vocals, hard-driving harmonica, bottleneck slide guitar on steel-bodied resonator guitars, and lightning finger-picking on 5-string banjos, he holds it all together with a very heavy stomping boot.Drawing on titans of American roots music — Son House, Blind Willie Johnson, Skip James and Robert Johnson among them — Big Joe Bone is one of the UK’s most authentic and energetic one-man roots acts. His performances can transport you to a smoky basement, dark and warm, sweat-filled and calming….
