Uruguay is South America’s most underrated wine country — small in scale but punching well above its weight in quality.

It sits at roughly the same latitude south as its neighbours Argentina and Chile, but has a very different climate: Atlantic-influenced, humid, and maritime rather than the high-altitude, arid conditions of Mendoza or the Casablanca Valley. The result is wines with more freshness, salinity, and tension.

We will sample 6 wines with some tasty morsels to accompany.
